Michael Hoffmann, (Pen name Patrick J. McKallick,) is a Cognitive Behavioural Counsellor, Certified Neuro-feedback Provider and international consultant and trainer. He worked as a clinician in the administration of EEG Neuro-therapy treatment for patients with alcohol and other drug addictions, and conducted extensive training events regarding Neuro-feedback for psychologists, psychiatrists, and other licensed counsellors in the U.S. Latin America and Europe.

Michael was born and raised in Mexico, growing up in a bilingual and bicultural family. His early family life was unstable, violent, and traumatic, as his alcoholic father abandoned him in an orphanage when his mother fled to the U.S, deserting her husband’s uncontrolled violence. Subsequently, he left to attend high school and college in the United States, where he obtained degrees in Psychology and Sociology. Three years after he graduated from college, he joined a ‘doomsday cult’ which affected him for decades, leaving hi, disturbed and suffering with PTSD.

Many years later and five years of afterlife research collapsed, literally decades, of intermittent periods of PTSD. As an author, he has written several professional articles for international journals and other scholastic publications on community mobilisation and substance abuse prevention. He’s also the author of professional articles and training manuals on Community Mobilisation for Planned Social Change and technical manuals for EEG Neuro-feedback, mainly in Spanish.

Author of The Face of the Iguana; Freedom from Toxic Beliefs: A Journey in Healing and Transformation, is A Book born out of his experiences in a new age doomsday cult and the Five decades that followed that fateful event. He shares what he learned from attaining many fear-based beliefs, starting from the early days as a member of the Catholic Church and later as a seminarian. In his book he leads the reader on adventures of mystery and intrigue, as well as descriptions of his mirthful memories of his family and experiences. Michael continues to expand his knowledge of evidential after-life research and is currently engaged in other writing projects on this subject.
