Sydney based Author and Social Researcher Maggie Hamilton is the author of a number of books, which have been published in Australia and internationally.

Maggie has held a number of senior roles in publishing and at the ABC, A professional memberships serving as a Executive of the Sydney Peace Foundation; Committee for the Federation Australian Women Speak Conference, and Member of the Organising Committee for the Federation Australian Women’s History Project.

Maggie was born at home in a cottage in England spending her first five years amid meadows, moors and forests, steeped in living fairy lore. In her late twenties she moved to Sydney, where she writes books and for magazines. She gives frequent talks; and as a social researcher is a keen observer of social trends. She’s a student of the sacred, and the author of a number of spiritual books, including Coming Home, The Magic of the Moment, Love Your Work, Reclaim Your Life, and A Soft Place to Land. Maggie is an outspoken critic of the commercialisation of childhood, the sexualisation of boys and girls, and is the former founder and publisher of the Inspired Living mind, body, spirit imprint at Allen & Unwin, which she set up and ran. In her spare time Maggie loves silence and getting off the beaten track. She has a great love of deserts. Nature is her ‘go to’ place while living in the city.
