John Yost was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. As child John experienced some scary encounters with a strange being he saw as a robot from a children’s sci fi TV show he watched. When he told his parents about this, and was told it was his imagination and not to talk about it. And so John, like many children who have had these encounters, locked it away in the vault of his subconscious mind, until the memories could not stay hidden any longer.    

John’s career began working for the US Treasury Department. During that process, he attained his U.S. Customs Broker’s License and occasionally was a paid consultant to the FBI in international trade matters. After ten successful years, the work lost its appeal. S John left his position to seek other opportunities, and to realise his childhood dream to tell his story in FILM.
