Bill Bennett is an award winning filmmaker, author, producer and director of feature films and documentaries. In a career spanning more than thirty years, he’s made sixteen feature films, four dramatized documentaries and five feature length documentaries.His feature films have won numerous awards, both in Australia and internationally.
Bill started his career life at Med school, before deciding to go into media, working with ABC Australian broadcasting for 10 years. He then went into independent film production in the 1980’s, but it wasn’t until he made his last documentary film PGS that his life changed forever.
In this conversation we explore FEAR and how it impacts our lives and our ability to expand our intuitive abilities. I last spoke with Bill in 2018, (see below) about his wonderful documentary on intuition, called PGS: Intuition Is Your Personal Guidance System. If you haven’t seen our conversation please have a look, we talk about his experience hearing a VOICE in his head as he was driving to catch a flight very early in the morning.
Bill made this film with his producer wife Jennifer Cluff, who has been working in the film industry most of her adult life, as an actress, script editor, and producer, and has been pursuing a life of spiritual development for more than 25 years.
Bill Bennett is an award winning filmmaker and author. In his home country of Australia he’s won the equivalent of the Oscar (AACTA Award) for Best Film and Best Director, and been nominated a further 12 times. His documentary work has been awarded two Logies, Australian television’s highest award. He’s had two feature films in Official Selection at the Cannes Film Festival (Un Certain Regard) and four feature films in Official Selection at Toronto. He’s won Best Picture at Karlovy Vary, Palm Springs and Hawaii film festivals. His work has screened at the New York Museum of Modern Art, and he’s had three major film retrospectives, in Germany, the US and India. As well, Penguin Random House is publishing his trilogy of Young Adult novels Palace of Fires, and Bill is also an Adjunct Professor of Screen Studies at one of Australia’s largest universities.

Years ago something happened to Bill which would change his life forever. He was in the US driving to the airport early one morning, when he heard a voice which asked him to slow down. In a hurry to catch his flight he wanted to ignore it so he would get through the green light ahead, but the voice insisted and again asked him to slow down. As he entered the intersection, a large truck cascaded through at high speed almost hitting Bills car. Had Bill not slowed, as the voice asked him to do, the truck would have killed him. The voice Bill heard from nowhere saved his life.
Determined to find out what that voice was, and where it came from, he went on a global search, speaking with some of the world’s leading experts on intuition, spanning science, religion and spirituality. The result is a highly acclaimed film called PGS – Intuition Is Your Personal Guidance, and now a book, which expands on the film, which details how you can access and trust your intuition to guide you to purpose and fulfilment.
